The distribution of phosphates in the soil was studied and the fractions fixing the P added in inorganic form were determined. It was shown that the phosphorous fixed on the P-Al fraction decreases with depth, but the fraction P-Fe shows an opposite tendency. A Na2CO3 extraction indicated that Si was partly responsible for the Al inactivation because it was not detected with oxalate extraction.
