A method to obtain eggs of Bruchus pisorum L. on Cobrette peas was developed in the laboratory. Insects and plants were maintained under the following conditions: light intensity: 19.000 lux, at the top of the plants; photoperiod: 16 hr Iight - 8 hr darkness, befare the appearance of the first pods, and 14 hr light - 10 hr darkness, thereafter; temperatures: 16 to 26ºC during the day and14 to 22ºC during the night relative humidity: 40 to 75%. It was concluded that, under these environmental conditions, it is possible to obtain eggs of B. pisorum, as well as their development and metamorphosis.
