A trial with different chlorosis corrective treatments for nectarines was stablished in two localities of Central Chile. Treatments were: 1. iron sulfate; 2. iron chelate; 3. iron sulfate + chelate; 4. sulphur; 5. iron sulfate solution injected into the trunk; and 6. check. The trees were previously classified in: no chiorosis and with slight, moderate, and severe chlorosis symptoms. Treatment 2 showed complete correction of chlorosis symptoms, even in severely affected trees. Treatments 1 and 3 also corrected the symptoms initially, but these reappeared in late summer. Treatments 4 and 5 did not correct the symptoms satisfactorily. Next season, chelate showed a clear residual effect in one of the localities; this coincided with a lower iron fixing capacity of the soil in this locality. The other treatments had no residual effect when they were discontinued.
